Game rules & scoring
How this casual pickup match works: one game, not a tournament draw event.
This is a single match you arranged from Pickup games. There is no tournament knockout draw and no tournament champion rewards — those apply only to official monthly events. When the roster is full, you play once and record the result on this page.
- Format
- Open (any gender) — singles (one player per side).
- Scoring mode for this game
- Pro set (Mode 2): one set decides the match. Games are capped at 8 per side (e.g. 8–0 … 8–6 with a two-game margin at 8). At 7–7, a 10-point tiebreak (first to 10, win by 2) decides it — record 8–7 or 7–8 and enter tiebreak points in the form.
- Ladder points (this game only)
- The host turned on ladder tracking. When the score is saved, ladder points follow the same Elo-style win bonus and loss adjustment as tournament matches (no flat participation grant), using singles vs doubles totals. There is no extra champion bonus — that exists only for official tournaments. See Rankings for your running totals and how seasons work.
Entering the score
- Use the Score section below once the match is in progress. Enter games won per set (e.g. 6–3, 6–4), and tiebreak point rows when the scoreline requires them — the form matches the mode chosen when the game was created.
- Curtailed match: if play stops early (weather, time), use the curtailed option on the form and record the score as it stood; the form explains how the winner is chosen.
- The host can set special outcomes (walkover, etc.) when not using curtailed mode — agree as a group before saving.
